Bulk Trash Pick Up

Bulk trash collection service  is available to residence, commercial businesses, and churches for a fee determined in advance by the Town's Public Works  Department.  All items for pick up must be deposited
for collection on the public right-of-away, at the curb line or property line, easily accessible from the street, where normal trash collection pickup occurs by the Fairmount Heights Public Works staff. 

(a)  The items permitted to be deposited as bulk trash shall include those items used in the residence and or 
        business and or church.

(b) The following items shall not be picked up as bulk:
        -  renovation or construction materials;
        -  building parts and materials, concrete;
        - automobile parts, tires;and
        -  hazardous or flammable materials, paint, or chemicals or motor oil.

(c)  Any large object, as a refrigerator, stove, chair or sofa my be placed at the curb without braking into pieces.  
         Refrigerators must have the door(s) completely removed.

(d)  Items to be collected must remain at the  property until the Public Works Director inspects  the items to 
       determine the fee for pick up.  The Public Works Director will schedule the date for pick up once the fee is 
        paid.
  
Please Note:  At no time is it permissible to empty the complete contents of a house or business for bulk 
trash collection.  In those instances, where individuals are either moving in or out of town, such trash shall be removed by the residents or owners of the property at their expense.
