Stop Sign Violations-LetsDrivesafer program

LetsDriveSafer

Traffic Safety & Stop Sign Enforcement Program

About the Program

Fairmount Heights is launching the #LetsDriveSafer program to reduce dangerous driving near schools and protect our most vulnerable residents.

Prince George’s County faces some of the highest traffic safety challenges in the state — with 91 traffic deaths last year alone. In our own town, our recent pilot showed over 500 vehicles run stop signs every day, many during school hours. See letsdrivesafer.com/fairmount-heights to see more.

With a shortage of crossing guards and rising risk near schools, we need a smarter, more proactive solution. #LetsDriveSafer uses automated stop sign cameras, clear signage, and community education to hold drivers accountable and make our roads safer for everyone.
